What ScreenLife imports

  • Dated diary logs, including rewatches.
  • Watched films without a diary date.
  • Ratings converted from 0.5–5 stars to ScreenLife's 1–10 scale.
  • Reviews, tags, watchlist entries, likes, and profile favorites.

How to import

  1. Request and download your complete Letterboxd data export.
  2. Open ScreenLife and go to Settings.
  3. Select the Letterboxd export ZIP source.
  4. Upload the ZIP without extracting or editing its files.
  5. Review matches, skips, and errors in the preview.
  6. Apply the import only when the preview looks correct.

Duplicate handling

ScreenLife uses source data and viewing details to avoid applying the same imported record repeatedly. Ambiguous or invalid rows remain visible in the preview instead of being silently guessed.

Privacy

The uploaded export is processed by the ScreenLife installation to create the preview and approved records. Your Letterboxd password is neither requested nor required.
